Overview
DoD ESI is an official DoD initiative sponsored by the DoD Chief Information Officer (CIO) to save time and money on commercial software, IT hardware, and services. Through its joint team of experts, requirements are consolidated and agreements are established with IT providers resulting in a unified contracting and vendor management strategy across the entire department.
The DoD ESI's mission is to lead in the establishment and management of enterprise Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) Information Technology (IT) agreements, assets, and policies for the purpose of lowering total cost of ownership across the DoD, Coast Guard, and Intelligence communities. DoD ESI's mission extends across the entire commercial IT life-cycle leveraging the DoD's combined buying power with commercial software publishers, hardware vendors, and service providers.
Norseman Defense Technologies is an authorized DoD ESI contract holder for GitLab, providing the complete DevSecOps platform to Federal agencies through pre-negotiated agreements that reduce acquisition time and cost.
